Feeling better

Sayer's fever is gone, though the cough lingers. She was probably well enough that we could have done our normal Monday activities of volunteering at the library and going to her karate lesson, but I decided we'd have one more day of taking it easy and recovering.

So today she did 5 pages of ETC 2 1/2, and 3 pages of the Kumon coin book so that she could have some computer time. She helped me plant our starter veggies in the garden, and assembled the pieces of a craft project that I'd cut out. We'll be continuing to work on that craft project for another day or so. When it's done we'll have a holiday gift ready for several friends and family members :) Of course, we'll also be continuing to work in the garden - we have not yet planted the herbs or the small pot of purple Nemesia that Sayer wanted, nor have we started any of our own seeds.

We also read several more Greek Myths from the D'Aulaires book. The story of Heracles is *long* - the longest one in the book so far! We're about 3/4 of the way through the book, and Sayer is still asking for more. When it's done we'll have to pick up the D'Aulaire's book of Norse Myths. I've not read that one, so it'll be a learning adventure for both of us :)

Tomorrow we'll be back to our regular out-of-the-house lessons for swim and gymnastics. When we get back home we'll put together the scrap book for the flat McDonalds and stick them in an envelope to go on another postal adventure. And we'll probably also get around to planting seeds. And depending on how long everything takes and how Sayer is feeling, maybe we'll read a bit of SotW, too. There's always something, y'know.
