One more swim class in this session ...

and the instructor told me today that Sayer would be passing to the next level :) She swam the length of the pool and back today with the instructor beside her but not assisting. Sayer was able to coordinate her kick and arm strokes and was breathing on both sides (the instructor introduced this today, telling Sayer to breathe on every 3rd stroke rather than on every other stroke). It was beautiful :) So on Wednesday she'll be getting her orange ribbon. :)

Duncan will be staying in blue. He and the other kids in his level are still working on keeping their faces DOWN when swimming. They keep tilting up to see where they're going, which effectively stops them from making forward progress. He also has not yet been taught about arm strokes, so it's very clear that he'll be another session (or two) in blue before moving on. He'll get there, and he's having fun :)
