And we've celebrated by hanging lots of laundry! :) And opening all the windows. And picking loads of lemons and making lemonade. We've barely put a dent in the number of lemons on the tree, but the bees hanging out on the blossoms and in the nearby lavender were getting a bit irritated with us. So we came inside with about 70 lemons and washed 'em and sliced 'em in half, then the kids took turns helping me push them on the electric juicer. Results = yummy! :)
In addition to lemonade and laundry, we've also had a bit of schoolwork. Sayer did 5 pages of phonics from ETC 2 1/2, and then we read 2 chapters of Gilgamesh.
Right now the kids are enjoying short German cartoons on YouTube. Found the link to a funny one on phdinparenting.com and after watching that one they've been clicking on all the others they can find. Some are funnier than others, but they're enjoying them all. The one that started the viewing extravaganza is titled 'Flatulenz.' You can probably figure out what it's about :)
Next up, we're making cookies, and reading another chapter of Gilgamesh while they bake. Then we'll start preparing for dinner. Having a guest for dinner tonight and we're having ham. Yum!
Hope your day is lovely, too!
