She writes short stories, but not novels. Sigh

Just in case anyone reading this is homeschooling a child who loves to write stories, check out this contest: Book Art Bash. Sayer writes stories, but they tend to be in the 1-200 word length. They're looking for 'novels' that are a minimum of 1000 words. We might work on writing something, but I'm not sure we'll get that many words (or a coherent plot if we do get that many words!).
