Sayer has her cast. We'd wanted to get an aqua blue one to match her hair, but they only had dark dark blue. So she chose the white one instead because it glows in the dark :) And we have a sharpie for folks to use to sign it that is the same color as her hair :)
Bad news is that although it's a fiberglass cast rather than plaster, she still can't get it wet. No swimming pool. Blah. We'll have to see how many plastic bags and rubber bands we can layer to make it splash proof if not submersible.
Good news is that the cast, unlike the adult-sized splint she work over the weekend, doesn't go so far up her hand. The splint really impeded her ability to hold a spoon or fork or pencil. The cast gives her hand much more mobility. Great for ease of eating ... and for writing and doing homework :)
