Sunday afternoon I pruned our lemon shrub to look a bit more like a lemon tree. Namely, I pruned it's lowest branches so that they didn't touch the ground. Sayer pulled all the lemons off of the cut branches and put them into a 5 gallon bucket. When I was satisfied with the pruning and checked the bucket it was about 3/4 full. We brought it inside, but I was too tired to juice them then, and it didn't happen yesterday, either. So we did it today. Duncan helped me wash them and pile them on the counter, then we juiced them. Got fresh lemonade in the fridge and 2 quarts of lemon juice to turn into more lemonade when it's gone.
So, can I interest anyone in stopping by for a glass? :)
